We understand the importance of finding the right venue for your event,
our experienced team will handle the food, drinks, and the ambiance so you can focus on enjoying yourself.
Within our venue, you have the option to book our
Mezzanine -or- Full Restaurant,
depending on your event needs and number of guests!
MEZZANINE
Craving privacy with enough room for all your friends? The Second Floor Mezzanine is accessible by a 14 step staircase from the Main Floor Dining Room. The Mezzanine includes standard table seating, bar-height seating and booth seating, as well as a private bar.
Gender specific washrooms are located across from the Mezzanine entrance on the second floor. Gender neutral washrooms (including a change table) are located on the main floor.
Brunch -or- Dinner Party guest maximum: 34
Cocktail Party guest maximum: 60

Booking the Mezzanine requires a minimum spend which differs based on the day of the week and time of year:

FULL RESTAURANT
Big groups celebrating big things deserve a big space! Black Sheep boasts three floors and over 6,500 square feet for our guests to enjoy. Guests will have full access to the Mezzanine, as well as our main floor Dining Room and Bar.
The main floor Dining Room consists of standard table seating and booth seating. Guests will have access to two individual gender neutral washrooms (including a change table) on the main floor, as well as access to the gender specific washrooms on the second floor.
Guests may also have access to our Rooftop Patio, weather permitting.
Brunch -or- Dinner Party guest maximum: 100
Cocktail Party guest maximum: 120

BRUNCH -or- DINNER PARTY
Sit down functions are perfect for more formal or meal-focused celebrations. Guests will receive table service throughout your event from our warm and knowledgeable staff. Allow yourself to get lost in conversation, we’ll bring anything you need to you!
Dinner Party bookings are available to begin anytime after 4:00pm
Brunch Party bookings are available between 10:00am and 3:00pm
Should you wish to have access to the space earlier than the times listed above, an additional fee may be required. Please speak to our team to discuss specific requests.
Event bookings are not available during Weekend Brunch and Holiday Brunch services.
+ MINGLE
Dinner Party bookings are welcome to add on the +Mingle Package to their event! The bar will be open for walk-up service, until a designated time when your guests will be asked to take their seats, similarly to a cocktail hour. The bar is not available for walk-up service throughout dinner service.
This option is perfect for those wishing to offer their guests a sit-down meal, as well as the opportunity to socialize.

COCKTAIL PARTY
During a mingling style event, guests are free to socialize and move around! Hors d’oeuvres will be passed and presented at intervals, and bar service will be available throughout the event, so that guests can eat and drink at their leisure.
Cocktail Party bookings are available to begin anytime after 4:00pm
Should you wish to have access to the space earlier than the times listed above, an additional feemay be required. Please speak to our team to discuss specific requests.

DINNER PARTY MENUS
All food items for private events are selected from our current seasonal menu, curated by our Head Chef and in-house Pastry Chef. Custom dishes may be discussed – prices to be adjusted accordingly. Our team will assist you with tailoring your selections for the best guest experience.
DRINK MENU
Our event drink set menu offers a selection of beer, wine, well spirits and cocktails from our current menu!
Premium spirits are available upon request, as well as personalized cocktails. If you prefer a wine that is not on our list, we will do our best to source it for you! Special requests may be subject to an additional charge.
Alternatively, we offer a simplified $10 drink ticket menu. Please speak to our team directly for this option.

FAQs
Can I bring my own cake or drinks?
Outside food is not permitted, but our Pastry Chef can make a custom cake for your celebration!
Guests are not permitted to bring in outside beverages, however if you wish to provide your own wine, a corkage fee of $25 per bottle will apply.
Can I bring my own decorations?
You are welcome to bring small decorations for your event, so long as they do not permanently alter the space or disrupt the dining experience. Acceptable decorations may include: name cards for place settings, balloons, small centerpieces. Unacceptable decorations include: hanging decor requiring tape or thumbtacks, large table decor, glitter. If you’re unsure which category your decorations fall under, don’t hesitate to ask our team! Decorations should be brought in ahead of your event’s start time. Please remember to take all decorations with you when your event has concluded.
Can I hire a DJ for my event, and have a dance floor?
Available for Full Restaurant Buyouts ONLY:
You are welcome to share a personalized playlist with us for a more curated music experience, or provide a DJ for music entertainment. You may also convert a section of the main floor Dining Room into a dance floor – this is available for the entirety of Cocktail Party events, and after the dessert course has concluded for Dinner Parties. DJ equipment must be provided by the DJ or event organizer.
Please note that adding a DJ will alter the capacity of the space.
Do you have a projector for meetings and presentations?
We offer the use of our projector as an optional addition to any booking. The projector is mounted in the Mezzanine, and sound is provided through a connected Bluetooth speaker.

Can I customize the menu to fit my taste and dietary needs?
Absolutely! Our team would be happy to chat about how we can customize a menu to fit your needs. We have options for gluten free, vegetarian, nut free, and more. Please note that some customization may be subject to an additional charge.
Is the space wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately, no. Our restaurant is not wheelchair accessible from the Brewery Market courtyard, which is our only guest entrance. However, once inside, our main floor has a barrier free washroom.
How late can my guests stay? When is last call?
Mezzanine Buyout last call is 11:30pm
Full Restaurant Buyout last call is 12:30am
Our Rooftop Patio closes at 10:00pm
Doors close 30 minutes after last call
Minors are permitted in our space no later than 10:00pm in compliance with our liquor lounge license.
Can I tour the space before I book?
Should you wish to tour our space before booking your event, please contact our team to schedule a time during our business hours.
A mandatory, in-person meeting will be scheduled for all Full Restaurant Buyouts, which includes a tour of our space.
